About Mama Box

What is Mama Box?

 We’re so glad you asked!  Mama Box is a monthly subscription service that curates fun, healthy products for pregnancy and expecting mama’s.  Our subscription can be started at anytime during pregnancy. Products are specific to pregnancy and once Mama hits her due date the subscription effectively ends. The subscription is a discovery service tailored to mama’s due date and we include a variety of different products.  Anything from pregnancy safe skincare, pregnancy specific food/drink items to helpful and useful pregnancy items you may not have thought of… and don’t forget, you’ll be amazed at the fun products you will discover and absolutely love!  Each Mama Box subscription contains 5-7 sample and full size products, with a few fun extras sprinkled in.

The subscription is a discovery service…we can’t spoil the surprise and tell you what’s in them before you receive it!

We also have an online store with full size products that can be found in our subscriptions.

Can I send a Mama Box as a gift to someone else?

Of course!  You can gift any subscription or shop items to the lucky person of your choice. Gift messages are available as well.

Do you have giftcards available?

At this point in time, we don’t offer gift cards but it is something we will be looking at in the future.

How long does it take for my order to be processed?

Shop items and first time subscribers will typically be processed within 1-2 Business Days.  You have the ability to view the status of your order in your account.  Subscription renewal orders are processed on the 1st of the month and shipped around the 15th of the month. Why do I need “safe” products during pregnancy?

There are literally 10,000 chemicals you come into contact with every day, and some have the potential to harm you and your little bump.  Anything you eat, drink, breathe or put on your skin can make it to your growing little baby.  There is no way to avoid all chemicals.  We are taking a rational approach to help you avoid harsh and questionable chemicals where there is cause for concern.  Some of these chemicals have the potential of causing birth defects, and there hasn’t been enough research on some as to what effect they can potentially have.  Why not protect yourself and your little one!  That’s why we’re here.


Why should I worry about safe skincare during pregnancy?

Have you seen patches used for different medications?  It’s a constant reminder that your skin is a carrier, not a barrier.  Topical absorption happens, and these chemicals can make their way into your bloodstream pretty easily.  Once chemicals enter the mama’s bloodstream, they can easily cross the placenta and make their way to the baby’s bloodstream.  Some of these chemicals can harm the baby and have the potential to cause birth defects.


Why aren’t all of your products organic?

The majority of the products we select are organic and natural.  With that being said, there are quite a few people that try to transition to organic products, and quickly lose hope.  The main reason being the effectiveness of some organic products just aren’t up to par with normal, everyday products on the market.  We’ve chosen products that are safe without compromising the quality of what they are intended to do.  We are taking a rational approach to help you avoid harsh and questionable chemicals where there is cause for concern.  We choose organic and natural when we can!


Do I need to sign up for a subscription to order your boxes?

 At this point in time we only have subscription boxes available. We will be branching out into Corporate boxes and Gift Boxes specific for baby showers etc.


Can I purchase products in the boxes separately on your site?

 Heck yes! All of the products we carry in our boxes are available in our online store, along with many more great products!

Billing

When will I be billed for the monthly recurring membership?

When you place your order for a monthly subscription, you will be billed for your first Mama Box immediately.  Our renewal billing period starts the 1st of the current month, unless cancelled according to our cancellation policy.  Automatic renewals will be billed at full price around the 15th of each month until the selected subscription ends.

How much is shipping per month?

Please refer to the “shipping tab’ below for shipping prices.

What type of payments are accepted?

We accept payments via Paypal and credit/debit cards (Visa & MasterCard).

What courier do you use?

All subscriptions and in-shop purchases are couriered through Australia Post

Do you ship internationally?     

Yes! We ship internationally. Please bare in mind each country may have their own custom taxes upon delivery.

How long does shipping take?

For first time subscription orders & online store orders, Mama Box boxes are processed and shipped within 1-2 business days from our Perth, Western Australian facility.  For subscription renewal orders, Mama Box boxes ship mid month. Australia Post delivery times vary depending on your location within Australia and internationally. You will receive tracking advice from Australia Post informing you of your parcels movements. Please see below of an estimated delivery time:

Australia – (5-7 business days)
International (7-30 business days)

During busy periods, a delivery can sometimes be delayed by Australia Post. But we ensure you always receive a tracking number when your order has been dispatched so you can keep an eye on its location via the Australia Post website.

Please keep in mind COVID delays across the globe.

How much does shipping cost?

Mama Box offers free shipping Australia wide over $59. We have a flat rate shipping fee of AU$10 under this value which covers the administration fee and shipping via Australia post.
Metro, regional and rural areas included.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
You can see your estimated shipping cost at checkout which can vary depending on location. We ship all our international orders via Australia Post International which includes a signature on delivery.

For international orders, customs can also delay delivery. No import fees will be charged by the countries we service as the purchase is a gift and value is under the low-value threshold.

How do I get my monthly box?

Your box is sent each month via Australia Post. It will arrive between Monday to Saturday so make you sure the delivery address is where you will be during this time. If you work full time, we recommend getting the package delivered to your work. If you are not at home during the delivery time, your parcel will be left in a secure location out of the weather or sent to your closest Australia Post Office branch with a note left in your letterbox.

We cannot take responsibility for returned parcels where addresses have been entered incorrectly or if you fail to pick up your Mama Box from your local post office following attempted delivery. If your parcel is returned back to us, you will be charged an additional shipping fee of $10 to be dispacthed again.

If your parcel has been delivered damaged, please contact us at hello@mamabox.com.au so we can rectify with the courier.

Can I track where my monthly box is?

You will get a tracking number via email from us upon shipment so you can locate your package. You can go to the Australia Post website at anytime and track your parcel from there.

Cancellations

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel, pause, and otherwise amend your subscription at any time without the need to receive further Products from us provided that your adjustment request is received by the cut-off time for subscription adjustments (pauses, cancellations, order restarts, address and box type changes) is the last day of each month (monthly subscriptions) and the day before your next renewal (trimester subscriptions).
Returns

Do you offer free returns on subscription boxes?

Sorry we do not offer and returns on any of our subscription boxes.

If you do have a problem with an item or product in one of our boxes, please contact hello@mamabox.com.au and we can see what we can do to help you from there.

Can I return full size items purchased from the store?

For any change of mind of full priced items from the Mama Box shop, you are only eligible for an exchange, not refund. Mama Box won’t bare the shipping cost of your returned item in this case.

For any item purchased during a promotional period or that is on sale you will not be eligible for a refund or exchange due to change of mind.

My items was damaged in delivery, can I return it?

Yes you can return damaged items. All products are checked for quality before dispatch and while we try our best to ensure that the product is delivered to you in perfect condition, the product may be damaged in the delivery process. If any full priced or sale or promotional item arrives to you damaged, you should contact hello@mamabox.com.au, along with photos of the damaged product. Once we approve your request for the damaged item, we arrange for your item to be returned to Mama Box Head Office. You will be eligible for a replacement or exchange of your damaged product.

Who do I contact to arrange a return?

If you intend to seek a refund, replacement or exchange, you must email us on hello@mamabox.com.au to obtain prior approval. Please include the order number and reason for the return. In the case you change your mind on the product you purchased, Mama Box won’t bare any return shipping cost. Likewise, Mama Box won’t bare returning cost if returned product doesn’t appear damaged. Your item must be returned within 14 days else no refund will be provided regardless of the reason.

Other

Can I have multiple accounts?

No.  All activity should be listed on one Mama Box account.

What if I receive a defective product or my box came damaged?

Let us know immediately with pictures of the damaged product(s) by emailing us at hello@mamabox.com.au

We will ship you a replacement immediately if the product is in stock. If it is not, then you will receive store credit (value at Mama Box’s discretion). Reported damaged products reports will be accepted only within 14 days of the delivery date.  

Can I use multiple coupons for my subscription?  

No, one coupon per customer is allowed. Subscribers can only use one coupon per subscription.

Win a giveaway?  Check here for redemption period.

All winners of a giveaway must redeem their gift within 14 days of winning the giveaway.  Mama Box will contact the winner within 7 days of a contest ending via email or direct message in social media with specific directions how to redeem the giveaway coupon or code. Mama Box is not responsible if winner does not respond in time for the code to be redeemed.  If the winner does not respond or the giveaway code is not redeem within 14 days, the promotion code will expire and no longer be valid.  Additionally, giveaway winners CANNOT apply any coupon codes to their purchase.  If a coupon code is used, Mama Box will deduct the amount from any remaining balance.  If there is no remaining balance, Mama Box will not ship the order until payment for the difference has been received.
